Last night I installed GhostBSD on a Thinkpad T490. I'm not sure what triggers it, but invariably the whole desktop UI locks up. When this happens, the system appears to be unresponsive. E.g. I cannot ctrl+alt+f2 into a different tty. I am using a completely default install.
I've done some basic troubleshooting - I maxed out the graphics RAM in my BIOS (I read somewhere that this can help?). On my last attempt, I was only running top in a terminal window and it hung within 20 minutes.
Has anyone seen something like this before? My next step will be to get sshd running and see if an SSH session persists through this lockup stage.
Other than this issue, it looks beautiful and I'm excited to try it out
