A big thx to all you ghost devs!
Afew newbie questions now that I switch from debian to bsd, and would like to stay xfce/ghostbsd
by working thru these little fixin's I got!
*** I'm gonna reinstall !! Will edit when done.***
After install and setting some of my tweaks, I checked out display settings and found I cannot set
display refresh rate - shows 0.0 Hz, and is grayed out [I'm in video group]
...how to give xorg the correct info?
Update:: Made the monitor file from the freebsd handbook, for xorg --- no change.
On to hibernate...{will print freebsd info }
Power Manager -> Laptop Lid: set to "Hibernate" on close.
I tick hibernate at logout choices, or close laptop lid.
then open lid, or press keys to wake-up.
only get black screen, after time - need to hard boot few times for success.
then..also ~
shut-down for nite..reboot morning to black-non-active screen.
hard boot 3-4x = no activity...then, pulled power cord = it booted!
I get::
1st- logo shows at boot[post] 2nd- ghost boot screen 3rd- scrambled logo before DE loads [auto login].
No successful return from hibernate.
**your sound file {de loads} plays randomly. {by the way, where is file to edit--to include mine?}
**cannot unmount usb's --sez busy/writing to, when not! group permissions? I'm in wheel group.
Thx for this forum also!
