Hi, I've been trying to get into GhostBSD and I wanted to enable the discrete GPU on my laptop. By default, GhostBSD is using the integrated Intel card (HD 4000). I did an initial search on how to go on about it.
Drm-kmod is installed by default, so that's done. Then I changed rc.conf and added "amdgpu" (also tried "/boot/modules/amdgpu.ko") to kld_list and added my user to the video group. But when I restart, lightdm does not start, I get prompted with login from the command line
If I change rc.conf to use i915kms.ko then it works again.
Does anyone know if I missed anything? Assuming it is possible to have the GhostBSD use the AMD gpu...
Thanks.
