hey - new here and have a few intro questions for neophytes

hey - new here and have a few intro questions for neophytes

i have been interested in freebsd for years but know notta technically. I noticed ghostbsd mught be the nost logical possibility. ran linux for 15 yrs but not a command line guy and also not a techie geek though i like to think myself a bit geeky. also 70 yrs old. so an old codger as they say. so i am wondering about making a jump from linux to ghostbsd. i use laptops. sorry for the vzugeuness in advance; but i am just wondering about the possibuility? not interested in mate but xfce is OK. like 'e' or moksha too.

wanted to add that i am also interested in seeing what the mate is like with ghostbsd since that is the default. may really like it.

ok thanks - looks like this forum and dsitro is dead. glad i found out prior to installation.

Support for laptops has been improving over time. If you want to try XFCE on GhostBSD, then I'd suggesting trying a development iso:
