Hi there,
I was looking for some updated versions of software and found them available at freshports but I'm not sure whether I should install it or not. Couple of them are KDE which include plenty of dependencies and in addition I always heard it's not a good idea to install ports & packages. How could I sort it out?would it jeopardise the system? Thanks for your comments
Add Freshports
Re: Add Freshports
Hi, I added the FreeBSD repository to GhostBSD then installed KDE5 plasma. I had absolutely no problems. Check this post:

Re: Add Freshports
@jmp20 Mixing the FreeBSD repository with the GhostBSD repository is not a good idea since we don't the same ports build.
@amgpuma Plasma package should be available in the GhostBSD repository.
