About upgrading the system... a little question.

In GhostBSD FAQ wiki pages, about upgrading the system there is:

How should I update GhostBSD to latest FreeBSD updates?

GhostBSD supports freebsd-update command line to update the FreeBSD base system.

freebsd-update fetch install

You see, this is an "active" method: I decide to update and I do it. But... why / when ?

In other systems there is an utility that alerts you when upgrading is available / worthy / you should to.
In GhostBSD how do I know when I should/could update my system?
