I install freebsd on one of my external hard disk.I install Gnome.Someday when I install Mate desktop,system suddenly became unuseable,only a blank screen.What's wrong with it?

when you initially installed GhostBSD, and it rebooted, can I assume that MATE came us as advertised, or did you install gnome without rebooting?

I reinstall freebsd about 3 times.now freebsd cannot boot,encounter I/O error.My disk is newly bought ssd.It has quality issue?
