My internal hard disk is 64G SSD.I had install ghostbsd on it before. When I try to install freebsd on my external disk, the internal disk formatted by freebsd installer, all data lost.I want to install freebsd on external disk, why use internal disk?

I install gostbsd on both my internal and external disk, internal disk is 64G,external 512G.But I can not find external boot option in bios, only internal disk can boot.Internal disk works well, but why it shows more than 400G while I don't plug my external?

I don't have anything to try on, but the external drive should be available during the install process.
unlike linux which uses /dev/sda /dev/sdb
FreeBSD, ad GhostBSD something like
/dev/da0 /dev/da1
