Problems with partitioning during install

I have tried it both ways: UEFI only, and Legacy+UEFI exactly the same results. I will try again later today and ensure it is back to UEFI only.

I made certain that UEFI was the only option for booting (even went under Advanced and made certain that Windows is UEFI only and not CSM). Same issue while trying to install with the Next button never becoming active (no difference choosing ZFS or UFS). I typed in: sysctl -n machdep.bootmethod and it returned: UEFI.

There is a new latest ISO file http://download.us.ghostbsd.org/develop ... .08.20.iso to tryout and see if the problem is corrected. I see my test machine Thinkpad T530 is set for BIOS. I should change to UEFI, must be why I did not get to install rEFInd uefi boot code. Learned something from you, JCPollman. Thanks, Fred

My 2 cents:
I just ran GBI GhostBSD Installer and installed GhostBSD as a ZFS use the whole disk. I wanted to install rEFInd boot software, but the option was greyed out. So I stuck with the FreeBSD boot code option. JCPollman showed me how to know what BIOS Mode I was in. Like BIOS and not UEFI

My 2 cents:

I just tried with the release Version - same problem.
My Thinkpad W520 has a 500GB SSHD, partitioned with GPT, booting UEFI only.
First partition is APFS, second I want to try customizing...
I used your latest build, same for me.
Than, I thin, try it - and select partitioning AUTO - this works! But not with the first try, there it tells me, not enough space... if trying to create the 2GB swap after creating zroot - ZFS partition.
Next time, I spend 2GB less for creation of zroot and this works, at this time, the installer says: "Installation complete".
I didn't try with the release version the partitioning option "AUTO"...

booted up the 1 Sep dev iso from a usb drive today. Started gbi in a console and got:
