Hi,

- please avoid to run update-station in live session, it only slow down the startup,
it not useful, because a subsequent installation will not retain the updates.

- hald daemon should be stopped when gbi start, in fact the installation process will repartition the drive.
Hald will try to automatically mount the new partitions and will fail because those partitions aren't yet including a proper filesystem,
and a popup window show out about a 'mount error'.
While the error is harmless, it is really confusing for new users, they usually think something went wrong with the installation process.
