Re: No static ip address after upgrading to 24.01.1 Update
I experienced the same issue on a FreeBSD 14.0 RELEASE system. The networkmgr seems to be the problem. After uninstalling networkmgr everything works as expected.
I will try this on GhostBSD 2024.01.1 this evening.

No static ip address after upgrading to 24.01.1
I upgraded from GhostBSD 23.10.1 to 24.01.1 via update-station. On GhostBSD 23.10.1 I configured a static ip address on my lan card and it always worked very well. After the upgrade to 24.01.1 i can't assign a static ip address anymore. The lan card only works when I use DHCP. The rc.conf file wasn'...

Re: Upgrading from 23.10.01 to 23.12.01
The latest version is 23.10.1 there is no newer version.
I think the naming 24.01.1 of the latest downloadable iso is a mistake.
Why do you think that there is a version 23.12.01???

Re: Upgrading from 23.10.01 to 23.12.01
Just use Update-Station. You will be informed by GhostBSD if there is an update and an icon will appear in the taskbar. Just click on this Update Icon and Update-Station will launch. Update-Station does both: package updates and os updates. You just have to lauch Update-Station you don't need the co...

Re: Issues after installing latest update 23.10.1 XFCE - solved -
I found the reason why Xorg crashed after upgrading to GhostBSD 23.10.1 XFCE. I installed FreeBSD 14.0 RELEASE on a portable ssd and booted it from the laptop. FreeBSD didn't even boot to the graphical login. The screen went just blank. When I looked at the Xorg.0.log there were some kernel error me...

Re: Issues after installing latest update 23.10.1 XFCE
I updated my 2 desktop pc's to GhostBSD 23.10.1 XFCE without any problems (a Celeron J3455 with Intel HD Graphics 500 and a Celeron J5040 with Intel HD Graphics 605). It's only this laptop which makes trouble ...
