Hello, i am running GhostBSD on a laptop. However the system does not boot anymore. No problem. I change to a newer laptop. Have ordered one. Wanna copy my home-folder on that old laptop with a simple bootCD tool that can access to the HDD in the laptop. Normal backup tools on boot cds such like HIR...

i find out the secondary battery is a module battery. it can be put in where the CD rom drive is for replacement and secondary power. nothing to do with the "shutdown" function of software installed. it should be function right but the mate power management software is not shutdown at a cr...

For myself i have just installed Ghost BSD on a Dell Laptop and connected with Wifi simcard router successful.
Made the updates and system is up to date.
all clear here.

its a writeable media. don't know exactly "what" data is defined but to take a "read only CD ROM" is the savest way to choose.
fact is , there is something.
with CD you can avoid that.

the os has defined the flash drive for any reasons in the system.
take a CD ROM instead for installing should avoid such problem i think.
