Hi
As per the title how to make a usb thumbdrive a boot-ram kind of extension so that the boot ram can be extended to get past the 4gb limitation so that gbsd can be installed on a system with less than 4gb ram (which is currently required for installation).

Die you Check RAM and your disk (smartmontools) ? To be honest, unless what you mention is on the live dvd, then I would not be able to use these tools as nothing opens on the mate desktop - and its not really a desktop if only the background image and device/place icons show, and nothing opens any...

Mate or XFCE? Mate, both times, both with the present version/build and previous version/build. It got worse as well, as with the previous version upon second login only desktop icons would show - no menu, no panels, nothing else. I am downloading the xfce version as when I with the previous versio...

Hi
Installed what I thought succesfully the latest release, to replace a borked ghostbsd, only to find that is more borked than the previos version.
Terminal will not open, software centre will not open, indeed very little will open and run.

Did you ever get the mate toolbar problem fixed?
Myself, I just installed xfce, which does not fix the toolbar issue but does give a proper working DE.
